1.     John Gove1, b. 1604, in England; m. 1st, abt. 1625, Sarah Mott (b. 1601, in London, England); m. 2nd, prob., Mary Sale, dau. of Edward Sale and Elizabeth Gifford, of Chesham, co. Bucks, England. John d. abt. 1648.

  1. John Gove2, b. 1627, in England.
  2. Edward Gove2, b. 1630, in England; m., 1660, Hannah, dau. of William Partridge of Salisbury; lived in Salisbury; in 1665, removed to Hampton (now Seabrook).
  3. Mary Gove2, b. bef. 1648; "adopted" by Dea. Ralph Mousall, of Charlestown, at the death of John Gove1.

2.     John Gove2, son of John1; m. 1st, 6 Oct. 1658, Mary (b. abt. 1620; d. 14 Nov. 1676), dau. of William Aspinwall; m. 2nd, 15 March 1677, Mary Woodward (or Woodhead?) (b. 1644; d. 11 Sept. 1700); m. 3rd, 2 Dec. 1700, widow Elizabeth Waldron (d. 24 Nov. 1704), formerly of Boston. He d. 24 Dec. 1704.

  1. Mary Gove, b. 14 Sept. 1659; bapt. 3 March 1661; m. 7 April 1682, Henry2, son of Henry1 and Joan Prentice of Cambridge.
  2. John Gove, b. 21 Sept. 1660; bapt. 3 March 1661; d., unm., 28 April 1679.
  3. Aspinwall Gove, (twin), b. 2 Oct. 1661; bapt. 16 Nov. 1662; d. in infancy.
  4. Nathaniel Gove, (twin), b. 2 Oct. 1661; bapt. 16 Nov. 1662; d. in infancy.
  5. James Gove, bapt. 3 Dec. 1663; d. 11 Oct. 1681.
  6. Nathaniel Gove, b. 4 Aug. 1667.

  1. Jonathan Gove, b. 19 Jan. 1678; d. 11 Oct. 1681.
  2. John Gove, b. abt. 1680; d. 16 Jan. 1681/2.
